Passion in Common

Whether through recreational exploration or high-performance racing, the passion for personal watercraft (PWC) is a unifying force among enthusiasts. This passion lies at the core of the collaboration between Roca Jet Club, based in Monaco, and Belassi GmbH, headquartered in Leiben, Austria. Both organizations share a strong commitment to performance, the educational aspect of water sports, and the pursuit of innovation.

The collaboration between these two entities is built on shared values: racing, education, and the drive to push the boundaries of performance while respecting the ocean.

Roca Jet Club: A Community Built on Excellence

Founded in 1992, Roca Jet Club is a Monaco-based sports association that provides an inclusive platform where residents, employees, and students of Monaco can experience the thrill of PWC riding in a controlled and professional environment.

Beyond competitive racing, Roca Jet Club — together with its president, Philippe Palmero, and vice-president, Gérard Pouget — prioritizes the education and safety of young riders. With the fundamental support of Jean-Pierre Bessero, the club ensures that all participants understand the importance of respecting the marine ecosystem, safety regulations, and coexistence with other vessels. This educational mission aligns perfectly with Belassi's vision of creating a responsible community of riders who not only appreciate the sport but also value sustainability and environmental protection.

The partnership between Roca Jet Club and Belassi extends beyond philosophy. The club’s team is invited annually to visit the Belassi manufacturing facility, where they are given exclusive access to test new PWC models in development. These visits provide invaluable insights into the future of high-performance watercraft and allow Roca Jet Club members to contribute their expertise and feedback — fostering a true exchange of knowledge and experience.

Belassi also supported Roca Jet Club’s social initiatives in 2024 by sponsoring an event organized with the Association Monégasque Les Enfants de Frankie. Through this and future collaborations, both organizations reinforce their commitment to using their expertise and influence for positive social impact — ensuring that their passion for jet skiing benefits a broader community beyond racing enthusiasts.

Looking at Additional Performance Options

As the world shifts toward more sustainable practices, our hope is that the PWC industry will continue to evolve and embrace environmentally friendly innovation. Belassi is fully aware of this transformation and is actively developing alternative fuel solutions for high-performance watercraft. This initiative is not only ambitious but also fully aligned with the values of Roca Jet Club, which prioritizes the responsible use of marine environments.

One of the first steps in this journey is the introduction of a fuel blend consisting of ethanol and gasoline. A significant portion of this ethanol is derived from organic matter (produced from non-food sources that do not compete with food production), making it a more sustainable alternative to traditional fossil fuels. This step demonstrates that the future of PWC performance doesn’t have to come at the expense of environmental responsibility.

By exploring and testing alternative fuel solutions, Belassi and Roca Jet Club are pioneering a movement within the PWC community that could lead to broader changes across the industry. By embracing new technologies and fostering a culture of responsibility and performance, they are ensuring that the next generation of riders can continue to enjoy the sea — while preserving its natural beauty for years to come.
