FUll in-house development

Nearly two decades have passed since the original team laid the foundation for what Belassi is today. From the many lessons we've learned, we have embraced one as our strength: in-house development. This approach has allowed us to become nearly self-sufficient in production, enabling us to explore new avenues without expending excessive resources or time. We take great pride in having everything under one roof, which allows our team to work closely together and achieve results more efficiently. Naturally, we also collaborate with some external partners.

The most recent milestone saw our new in-house Engine Dyno come online. This allows us to develop various mapping configurations, evaluate the durability of new components, and continue to push the boundaries of the engine’s performance. The Dyno is also an essential part of our rigorous quality process as we perform an “end-of-line” test on every engine that we ship.

While our new Marine Power Unit is achieving the endurance goals, we are ready to welcome the first customer by placing them on a waiting list. For 2025, Belassi will deliver in total 250 engines and clients on the waiting list will have the priority.

ELEMENT BOAT PARTNERSHIP

We are also excited to announce a new engineering collaboration between Element Boats and Belassi Marine Powertrain Division, combining the strengths of two brands with a shared vision for taking marine performance to the next level. The company lead by Pim van Munster, is building aluminium boats since 2021 in Amsterdam, in Netherlands. The boats, with jet propulsion, allow customers to play on the water and to reach places that boats could never reach before. With the flat bottom and robust design, you can push your own boundaries.

Back in April 2024, Element was looking for an OEM engine supplier that could provide a reliable Powertrain package with full warranty support and the necessary certifications for CE compliance in the Europe. Belassi, in turn, focused on understanding customer needs to optimize the powertrain’s integration, making the process seamless for boat builders.

A key part of this collaboration involves ensuring impeller options meet various application requirements, allowing customers to fully harness engine power in their specific models.

Additionally, a new 7-inch display is under testing, integrating Blink Marine Keypads and a steering wheel insert, putting all essential boat controls at the driver’s fingertips. Different throttle control options are also being tested, including traditional levers and watercraft finger throttles, both available as part of custom build packages.

The collaboration has also sparked the development of new exhaust packaging solutions designed specifically for boat applications, enhancing performance and efficiency.

Element Boats is the first builder to collaborate with Belassi on this engineering development. Looking ahead, Belassi plans to expand testing with different partners in a range of jet boat applications, including larger fiberglass hull jet boats.

The goal is to offer tailored Powertrain integration solutions to both large and small boat builders, ensuring they can meet their customers’ unique requirements. This partnership ensures that all components work together seamlessly, with Belassi taking responsibility for the complete integration process.
